I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends. Todays look is another one of my outfits from Blue Mountain, and I think it’s one of my favourite outfits I’ve ever shared! I love pairing cozy sweaters and booties with skirts while the weather is still mild enough to get away with it. I picked up this sweater at Zara a few weeks ago and fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on. Its sooooo silky soft and comfy, it feels like your wearing a cloud! My skirt is an old Smart Set find but Nordstrom has some really good leather skirt options right now, and I’ve linked one of my favourites below!
As I mentioned in last weeks post, Peter and I went to Blue Mountain on the weekend for their Apple Harvest Festival. We got there on Friday night before the festival started and walked around the village, took some outfit pictures and then headed back to our hotel before dinner. It was so nice to spend a night up north with all the colourful leaves, we don’t normally do trips in the fall but now I feel like it needs to become a tradition! The Harvest Festival started Saturday but it was raining all day so we watched a few shows and demonstrations and then headed back home for Thanksgiving. I wore this sweater when we were exploring on Friday and it was perfect, the weather was cool so it kept me nice and warm! It is a little scratchy though so if you have super sensitive skin, this one might not be for you. I found a look-a-like thats soft and linked it in the widget below.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend!
I hope everyone’s been having a great week so far! The weather has really cooled off here which feels so good, I had to bust out my big blanket scarves a few mornings this week, which I love! I’ve also been living in this long grey cardigan since I got it in the mail a few weeks ago, the colour goes with everything and I love the length. Cozy cardigans are a staple in my fall and winter wardrobe and Old Navy has some really good ones right now, and they’re all 30% off this week!
On another note, this weekend is Canada’s Thanksgiving long weekend and I’ve got some fun things planned. Peter and I are headed to Blue Mountain(my favourite place!) for their Apple Harvest Festival for a couple days – to hike, try different ciders, take blog pictures, and just do fun fall activities. Then we’re coming home just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving on Sunday and Monday with each of our families. Thanksgiving has always been my favourite holiday since it falls in my favourite month of the year(my birthday month) October, so I can hardly wait!
Do you guys have any fun plans this weekend? Let me know in the comments! Oh, and follow along on my Instagram stories to see what we get up to at the Harvest Festival (@melissaashburn) 🙂
It’s finally fall but the temps here are still feeling like summer, so I’ve opted for a ‘fall’ outfit that works for both seasons lol! The skirt I’m wearing is from Banana Republic but its about a year old so I’ve linked some other options that would work perfectly for re-creating this type of look. You can literally never go wrong with a classic black and while polk-a-dot piece in your wardrobe…I have quite a few polk-a-dot pieces in my wardrobe because they work for any season and never go out of style!
OH, and this scarf is the same one I mentioned a few posts back (here) but in the camel colour. Its extra soft and so big it could easily double as a throw for on your bed, which makes it the dreamiest scarf for fall ever!
