Mothers Day Guide!

Since mothers day is just over a week away, I thought it would be a cute idea to put together a little gift/activity guide for mothers day! Moms do so much for us and as much as we want to show our moms how much they mean to us everyday– we don’t always do. So it’s always nice to make mothers day extra special for your mom every year!

Quality time with you is what moms want most, so my gift guide is going to be based more on things you can do together, and not so much material items.

Starting the day with a Mani Pedi, followed by lattes and a little boutique shopping downtown would make the perfect mothers day for the fashionista mom!

on a budget? Give your mom an at-home manicure instead of hitting up the salon, and make her an awesome cup of tea/coffee to sip on while your doing her nails.

My mom is a big gardener, so this has become a tradition for my sister and I to do for her every mothers day.

Take your mom to a green house and let her pick out her favorite flowers and plants, make sure to buy a bag of dirt too, because your going to be spending the afternoon filling all her empty planters and urns with fresh spring flower arrangements! Nothing makes a green thumb mom happier then seeing beautiful colours in the garden, and knowing you made those arrangements together makes it even better!

Packing up a picnic for two (or more) and hitting the trails would be an awesome way to spend mothers day with your adventurous mom. Whether she loves hiking, biking, canoeing, rock climbing, do what she loves and bring lunch along with you!

Sign up for a yoga class and then grab a post-workout smoothie with your zen mom! and if you really want to spoil her try getting facials together, or even try at-home facial masks to do together for a more wallet friendly option.

On a budget? Try bringing your yoga mats outside (backyard or park) and having your own yoga session without the fee!

You can even make your own smoothies using this recipe, or try using Pinterest for more options!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie:

1 Banana

6 Large Frozen Strawberries

1 Cup Milk

1 Cup Vanilla Yogurt

Splash of Water

2 Tablespoons Honey (Optional – to sweeten)

For the mom who loves collecting pictures and scrap booking, bring over some photos that she has never seen before and spend the day scrap booking with her. Or even looking through old family photo albums together and reminiscing about old memories.

I hope this post helps give you an idea of what you can do with your mom next weekend, I know we’ll be busy in the garden!

Thanks for reading! ❤
