Hey Guys!

Let me start off by saying sorry I’ve been MIA for the past two weeks. In my last post I mentioned I was trying to figure out what to do about school this year so I took a bit of time off from blogging to focus on that since I left it until the last minute. I’m officially all set up and classes start tomorrow so posting should be back to normal from here on out!

Okay now let’s jump into the fun stuff – Its officially the first full week of September(!!!) so there’s no denying that fall is coming up quick! I wanted to share how I’m getting into the fall spirit over at my house, and maybe it’ll inspire you to do the same.

  • Baking Seasonal Treats

I just baked a batch of carrot muffins yesterday and it made my whole house smell amazing, and they tasted great too! I like having muffins and baked goods to throw in my lunch for work/school, and I think carrot is the perfect flavor for fall. I’m going to do a few recipe posts for my other favorite fall baking ideas, so keep an eye out for those soon!

  • Fill The Air With Fall Scents

One of the first things I do is go to Bath and Body Works and pick up fall scented candles and car fresheners, I find smelling pumpkin/cinnamon scents get me super excited for fall!  BABW is my favorite place to go that gets me into the spirit. I love the way they merchandise their stores, it always feels like you’re walking into a fall wonderland when you step through the front door.

  • Enjoy Pumpkin Spice Hot Drinks

I know everyone loves pumpkin spice lattes, but I don’t like the taste of coffee so I’ve always been too scared to try the PSL from Starbucks (encase it has a coffee-like taste to it). BUT I do however loveee the pumpkin spice tea from Tim Horton’s and drink it all through the fall!

  • Snack On Seasonal Treats

I don’t know why buy Reese Cups and Caramel candies remind me so much of fall and Halloween, so I always buy them around this time of year! I like keeping little bowls of them on my desk for when I’m craving something sweet!

  • Decorate

I love decorating the front porch with pumpkins, mums and corn stocks, It really gives a fall harvest feel to the house. As for the inside I like to put fall candles around with gourds and pie pumpkins! I think this year I’m going to try to make a DIY fall wreath for my door, so if it works I’ll be sure to share it with you guys.

  • Watch Seasonal TV Shows and Movies

My favorite TV shows to watch this time of year are mystery and fantasy dramas, my current top 5 are:

  1. The Good Witch (Family Drama, Fantasy, Comedy)
  2. Pretty Little Liars (Drama, Mystery)
  3. Stranger Things (Drama, Mystery)
  4. The Secret Circle (Drama, Fantasy)
  5. Witches of East End (Drama, Fantasy)

*Show numbers 4&5 were cancelled but they are still such a good watch around fall and Halloween!

**UPDATE: I just discovered the show ‘Shadow Hunters‘ and I’m so obsessed! I binged watched the whole season in two days, its the perfect show for fall/halloween!

Most of my favorite movies are the ones I grew up watching on the Disney Channel. I still re-watch them every year because they always bring back that fall/Halloween magic that I loved as a kid!

  1. Red Riding Hood (Fantasy, Thriller)
  2. Halloween Town 1,2,3,&4 (Family Drama, Fantasy)
  3. Twitches 1&2 (Family Drama, Fantasy)
  4. Harry Potter Series (Fantasy, Mystery, Drama)
  5. The Proposal (Romance, Comedy)

I’d love to hear how you guys are getting ready for fall, Let me know in the comments below!
