Michael Kors Mercer Bag Reveal & Review!

Hi guys!

My new bag has finally arrived and its just at cute and chic as I had hoped! I didn’t see it in person before ordering at the store since this particular colour has been sold out everywhere in Canada. I’ve been carrying it for a couple days now just to see how I like it, and I’m officially in love. I don’t tend to buy bags of this size because I’m more of a large tote person, but I’m already getting used to the smaller size. Its actually nice carrying a bag that doesn’t weigh like 10 pounds lol!

I took this picture for comparison of the size beside a regular medium coffee cup, as you can see the bag is quite small but it does fit all my must-have purse essentials. My wallet, sunglasses, keys, hair brush, moisturizer and lipsticks fit perfectly inside.

Mercer Bag Details:

  • 100% Full-Grain Pebbled Leather
  • Interior: 100% Textured PVC
  • Lining: 100% Polyester
  • Gold-Tone Hardware
  • 4.25” Handle Drop
  • Adjustable Strap
  • Interior: Center Zip Compartment
  • 8.5”W X 7.5”H X 4”D

There are two different sizes of the Mercer bag, I purchased the crossbody version but there is a large version as well… I think I might need to invest in that one for the fall (don`t tell Peter!).

I never really reach for bags with silver hardware since I`m more of a gold kinda girl, but I do love the way the silver looks against the pearl grey leather. The bases of the handles on this bag are very similar to the `Givenchy Antigona` tote, which I think gives this bag a higher-end feel but at a much more reasonable price!

I love that this bag has a middle zippered compartment that breaks up the bag into sections. I`m very OCD about having an organized bag so this works great for keeping my essentials in easy to find spots. I put my wallet and keys in the back compartment, sunnies and phone in the zippered pocket and then a little pouch of beauty products in the front compartment. This makes my life so much easier and saves me time rummaging around in the bottom of my bag for my lipliner, or keys.

The only thing I wish this bag had that my other MK bag has is a key fob on the inside of the bag that I could clip my keys to so they don`t fall out. Not that I think they would but I just love the idea of having them secured and not having to worry, since this bag is kind of shallow. Other then that I love everything about this bag and can`t wait for the weather to warm up so I can start carrying it more!

Thanks so much for reading,

let me know if you enjoyed this kind of post and would like to see more, I have quite a few brand name handbags and buy new ones pretty frequently!
