I hope everyone is having a good week! Today I wanted to share with you the coziest. scarf. ever. and I’m not even exaggerating, this thing is huge and sooo soft and warm. As soon as I touched it, I fell in love and bought it in two colours haha! I already know it’s going to be a staple in my wardrobe through fall and winter, theres not question about it.

I kept todays outfit super simple since Peter and I shot these pictures right before we went grocery shopping, I love how the sneakers add a little interest to an otherwise plain look. I picked these up last week for only $15…how could I say no!? For the price I figured they would probably be a little uncomfortable, but I was pleasantly surprised(they have a memory foam insole!). In other news, tomorrow is Peters birthday and he still hasn’t given me any ideas on what he wants to do for it…so I guess I better start brain storming haha!

Life Updates! *I Quit My Full-Time Job!?

I hope everyone had a great weekend

Talking about fashion and beauty is what I’m most passionate about, I love sharing my outfits, ideas, and opinions with you guys, it truly is what puts a smile on my face daily. This will be my last week of full time retail work, and starting next Monday I will be working tirelessly to make some big changes to the blog this month! I’m going to make May the month of change over on TheBlondeCloset, and I hope you guys are as excited as I am for it! You’ll be seeing some mini face lifts to past blog posts, layout changes, and some really fun content! On top of the things you’ll be able to notice right away, I’ll be doing a lot of behind the scenes work too, making sure the site preforms seamlessly for you guys.

Making Plans For 2017!


Happy New Year Everyone!!

I’m always interested to hear what everyone’s resolutions are for 2017! For me, I’m determined to make 2017 one of the best years yet! Which means I want to make my blog more of a priority and step it up another level. I just received my new camera in the mail a few weeks ago and I want to start adding video vlogs/tutorials into my usual posting schedule, would this be something you guys are interested in seeing? I’m thinking of adding more ‘outfit of the day’ posts as well and getting back into my Monday, Wednesday, Friday posting routine. If you have any other suggestions or requests for blog posts or things you’d like to see, I’d love to hear them!

Anyways I wanted to give you a bit of an update on what I’ve been up to because I haven’t done a ‘talking’ post in a while. So I finished my first online course for social media marketing and I loved it, I found it really interesting and was actually pretty good at it (school was never my thing). So I’m going to try to sign up for another course in fall of this year. As for right now I’m working full time again in retail and trying to balance the whole work/life/blog/fitness thing. Which I’m still getting the hang of, but I want to make sure this year I’m working as hard as I can on my blog because this is what I’m really passionate about.

I’m going to add my twitter feed into my side bar and use that to update you guys on things that I’m working on, announcements, and updates. So follow me there for extra content <3

My Fall Morning Routine!


Good morning, Friends!

Today I’m trying something a little different, and sharing how a typical fall morning looks through my eyes. I always enjoy reading ‘routine’ posts from my favorite bloggers so I thought I would do my own! If you’ve read my blog before, you’d probably know that fall is my favorite season. There’s just something about the crisp air, and gorgeous tree colours that gives me a little extra energy to stay motivated and get things done. Work, school, gym, hobbies,  I seem to have energy for it all in the fall! Here’s what a typical morning working from home looks like for me:

7:50 am: My first alarm goes off, I turn it off

7:55 am: My Second alarm goes off, I turn it off

8 am: Third alarm goes off and I actually wake up this time (I’m totally one of those people who sets like 5 alarms before they need to wake up lol!) I lay in bed for 10 – 15 minutes with my phone, catching up on any notifications I may have gotten over night. This helps ease me into actually getting out of bed after waking up!

8:15 am: I make a tea (English breakfast) and my favorite porridge with brown sugar and cinnamon. I love eating porridge in the fall and winter because it’s so warm and filling, and I always find myself craving spices like cinnamon in the cooler months.

8:25 am: I schedule my blog posts to publish at 6am each morning, so as I eat my breakfast and enjoy my tea I will proofread my post over again, check how well it’s preforming, and email or comment back to anyone who wrote to me.

8:50 am: I like to take 10 minutes each morning and plan out what I need to get done that day. This is when I pull out my Kate Spade notebook and start my to-do list!

9 am: If I’m taking blog pictures that day I will shower and start getting my outfits steamed and ready for my shoot /// If I’m writing beauty or lifestyle posts that day I’ll go to the gym for an hour, and shower, before I get started on that.

10:30/11 am:  It’s time to do my makeup and get dressed for the day!

12 noon: By now I’ve got a good grip on my day and am ready to conquer my to-do list and get blog posts ready!


And that’s what a typical fall morning looks like for me.
