Hey Guys,

This week on the blog I’m wrapping up the last of my warm weather looks, but I’m still incorporating pieces that can be transitioned into fall later! I’ve been loving the off-the-shoulder trend this summer and this top is no exception, I love that its long sleeved which means I’ll definitely be wearing it throughout the fall with cozy blanket scarves and jeans!

Sooo can we please talk about how cute this skirt is!? I have a super similar one to this but in a dark indigo wash (Full post on it here) and get so much wear out of it, so when I saw this medium wash skirt on Old Navy’s website for $15 I had to grab it! Unfortunately it sold out and they removed it from their website but I found an almost identical one at the GAP and linked it above. These buttoned skirts are my favorite right now because they go with everythingggggg (b/c their denim!) but they aren’t as boring as a regular denim skirt, the button detail makes them fun!

Affordable Fall Footwear!

Hi Guys!

Now that the first day of fall is less then a week away (!!) I wanted to share my top picks for affordable fall footwear in all the popular colours and styles for this year!

/  Booties / Ankle Boot / Knee High Boots /

Booties / Ankle Boot / Knee High Boot /

Booties / Ankle Boot / Knee High Boot /

I’ve always liked booties and ankle boots but up until last year I didn’t wear them a whole lot because I didn’t realize how versatile they are. If you’ve got a bootie with a bit of a heel they are so easy to wear with everything! They look great with skinny pants tucked in or even flared denim over top, they are great with skirts, dresses, and even shorts in late August when  you’re transitioning your wardrobe!

Over-the-knee and knee high boots are another one of my favorites but they only work with skinny jeans/legging style pants, and skirts/dresses if worn the right way. I love the way tall boots dress up leggings enough that I can throw a comfy tunic top on with a scarf and look perfectly put together while out with friends(and its actually the most comfortable outfit ever!). I always buy over-the-knee boots with a flat bottom because I think they look a little more classy then the high heeled style, and a lot more comfortable too!

Thanks for stopping by,

Have a wonderful weekend <3

The Old Navy Blanket Scarves You Need This Fall!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Today I’m sharing with you my secret to affordable blanket scarves for the fall. Blanket scarves have been a huge trend for the past few years (especially the Zara ones) but buying the latest and greatest every year can get expensive. Typically blanket scarves range in price from $30-$85 and most are made out of the same 100% Acrylic material anyway… so why pay more when you can pay less!?

Last fall I picked up a blanket scarf from Old Navy on sale for $13 and got a ton of wear out of it, I was really impressed that the quality was comparable to all my Zara scarves! So this year I decided to go back and pick up some more before they sell out! I was pleasantly surprised by the variety they have this year so I ended up buying 3 different colours/patterns for only $17 each. The trick to Old Navy is to sign up for their e-mails so you get notified of their sales. They have 30/40% off your purchase every few weeks so you can get blanket scarves on sale and clothing too!

Okay lets jump into the good part, Here’s how I styled the 3 scarves I just bought:

Outfit One

Scarf / Shirt / Similar Skirt / Bag (Banana Republic – available in select stores) / Similar Booties /

I love the red tones in this scarf because it’ll be perfect all through fall and the winter holidays. I can also picture this scarf layered on top of a cream oversize sweater, with black leggings and riding boots for when the weather gets colder!

Outfit Two

Scarf / Similar Jacket / Similar Dress / Similar Sunnies / Similar Bag /

Leopard print is a necessity in the fall as far as I’m concerned, I wear it all the time because it goes with everything! This scarf is also the perfect weight for wearing to work, or to an indoor party because its not thick flannel like the other ones I bought. There’s a lot of material to it because its still a ‘blanket scarf’ but the material is nice and light.

Outfit Three

falloutfit

Scarf / Similar Top / Similar Skirt / Similar Hat / Socks / Similar Riding Boots /

The colour of this scarf is perfect if you wear a lot of colour in your wardrobe already because it will go with anything! But at the same time the off-white would pop so nicely in the winter with an all black and white outfit as well, I can picture it styled with a white tank, black leather jacket, and black high waisted jeans.

Blanket scarves are perfect if you need a little wardrobe refresher for the new season! They are an inexpensive way to amp up even the most basic jeans and tee, that’s why I love them so much and wear them almost every day in the cooler months… and the fact that they make you feel super cozy is just an added bonus!

Blushing In Pink OOTD + Mini Travel Diary

Happy Monday Guys!

These pictures were taken a few weeks ago when Peter and I were celebrating our 6 year anniversary in Toronto. We decided to spend the day checking off the last few spots on our summer bucket list. The first place we visited was Kariya Park, in Mississauga Ontario …Okay, this was more my idea then his but he liked it!! The gardens and ponds were beautiful, and we were practically the only people in the whole park so it was perfect for taking blog pictures! This park would be an ideal location for a picnic date or even engagement/wedding photos, definitely a must see if your in the area!

Scarborough Bluffs

Our next stop was to the Scarborough Bluffs in Scarborough Ontario… this place looked straight out of a travel magazine. The water was beautifully turquoise with white sand and blue skies, we could not have picked a better day to visit. Before we got to the park we stopped and picked up some take-out lunch so we could have a little picnic while we were there, and it was so much fun! You have to check this place out if you’re ever in the Scarborough area, it’s definitely Instagram worthy!

Toronto Beach & Nathan Philips Square

After we visited the Bluffs we checked out Toronto beach -which was massive! We only stopped in for a quick walk down a portion of the beach and then headed into the city. We still hadn’t seen the new ‘Toronto’ sign in Nathan Philips Square so that was our next stop.

After that we made our way over to the Hard Rock Cafe in Dundas Square for some drinks, while we were waiting for our reservation at the Keg. Our dinner was amazing -as always (The Keg is my fav!). From there we walked back through Nathan Philips Square to see the sign at night and then headed home. I’m glad we went back through the square because I thought the sign was 10x better at night!
