Peter and I are home from our little vacation and back on the work grind this morning. I planned for this post to go up on Monday but I wasn’t able to find any Wifi where we stayed, I even went into town to see if I could find any coffee shops or restaurants with Wifi but no such luck! We ended up in a very small cottage country town, with not much around besides a Home Hardware (that served ice cream!) and a Chip Wagon on the side of the road.
So today is the day I get to share this cute wrap top from Banana Republic that I picked up a couple weeks ago! I wore it to grab ice cream in “town” on Sunday afternoon and it was perfect. The weather was hot and windy so I’m glad I opted for a light weight sleeveless top, I also bought it in another pattern as well that I’ll be putting up on the blog soon. I love that they’re so easy to dress up or down, throw a blazer over it and wear with dress pants to an office, or pair with jeans like I did here for a lunch date or trip to the mall!
I’m writing you guys from my bed this morning since Peter and I stayed up super late last night shopping and packing for our camping trip this Friday. I’m extra tired right now but I’m trying to snap myself out of it because I have a lot on my to-do list today!
Anyways, I recently found this adorable floral dress and thought it would be perfect for summer events, birthdays, baby showers, that kind of thing, so I grabbed it as soon as a saw it in stores. Except I loved it so much I wanted to wear it now, so I dressed it down with a jean jacket and booties to show the versatility. I’m really loving booties this year, as long as they are a light coloured suede (or faux suede) you can definitly get away with them in the summer. They always give me a bit of that country feel when paired with a dress, I love it!
I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends, and for those of you in the US and Canada – long weekends! I spent my whole weekend outside with friends, celebrating Canada 150 and it was so much fun! Peter and I both had Monday off too so we went out for ice cream and shot this summer date night look.
…and can we talk about this adorable cheetah print clutch from AlusIndonesia!? I am obsessed! It adds the perfect splash of colour and print to tie any outfit together, and it’s also the perfect size to fit the essentials, which makes it easy to just grab and go. I have carried it almost every day this week, whether I was going to the mall, or out to dinner, it’s been glued to my arm, haha! If you haven’t heard of AlusIndonesia before, It’s an Etsy shop that carries a gorgeous range of purses, clutches, makeup bags, scarves and more! And I was lucky enough to get a coupon code for you guys if you see anything you like in their shop 🙂
I hope everyone had a good week! It’s been super rainy and overcast here for the past week, it seems like every time Peter and I have a set time for a photo shoot we get rained out 🙁 but I can’t complain too much because at least the flowers and trees look extra lush this year! I saw this cute little crochet off the shoulder top on the Forever 21 website a few weeks ago and had to order it right away because I had a feeling it would sell out quickly. I’m so glad I did because I wasn’t able to find it on the website to link it but I did find a few similar options and linked them above!
Does anyone have any exciting plans for this weekend? I reached 10k on Instagram (!!) so Peter and I are going out tonight to celebrate <3. Thank you so much for reading my blog and coming along on this journey with me, I can’t even explain how great it feels to have so many of you that are like friends to me.
