I hope everyones starting their week off happy and motivated! Today I’m sharing an all black look with you guys since its been absolutely freezing here lately. I don’t tend to wear much black, but I thought why not use this time to do something a little edgy since I know as soon as spring hits I’ll be decked out in all pastels lol! The boots are my favourite part of this whole outfit because I finally found an affordable pair that are slim enough to fit my legs and actually stay up. I also picked up the necklace the other day and have been wearing it on major repeat since I got it, and it’s only $10!
Now that my sickness is finally 100% gone, my goal is to get back into my gym routine. So wish me luck because I’m headed there right after I hit publish on this post!
Just wanted to check in with you and wish you all a very Happy New Year! I’ve been sick in bed for the past few days, which is the last way I wanted to ring in the new year – but hey, at least I’m going into 2018 well rested haha. I’ve got some big plans for this year and can’t wait to start putting them into motion. Every January I love getting super organized and refreshed, I always start by donation pieces in my closet/room that I haven’t been wearing or using in the past year. Going from drawer to drawer completely re-organizing and cleaning everything so I know where everything is when I need it next. Luckily I did that the week before Christmas (before I got sick) which makes me feel a little less guilty about being stuck in bed this week.
My biggest resolution for 2018 is to make my blog a priority again. I get so caught up in trying to juggle everything perfectly that I get overwhelmed and end up hiding from it all. This year I’m taking the pressure off by being more organized and taking things one task at a time. I also really want to start incorporating video into the blog (which I know I’ve mentioned before). The topics won’t be anything too different from what I usually post on here but it’ll just be in video form, which will help me to better connect with you guys! And as for that Vlog I told you guys about a while ago…Its done and ready to upload. I tried uploading it multiple times but every time I do there’s a weird fuzzy line through the screen whenever I’m talking. So I’m trying to fix that before it goes up, which will hopefully be by the end of the week(fingers crossed). I was thinking of filming a ‘what I got for Christmas’ video too, so let me know if thats something you’d want to see! I’m open to any video or blog post topic ideas you guys might have, I’ve been making lists of my ideas lately but would love to know what you guys want to see.
Also, I wanted to say thank you to everyone whose been following along through 2017. You guys are the absolute best and I appreciate every single one of you! I’m going to do a lot more giveaways for you in 2018 as my way of saying thank you<3
Today’s post is a little compilation of a few super cute and really affordable summer fashion finds I’ve come across lately! Obviously I’m still on the rose gold/ blush pink wave for the summer, it’s a shade that has always been my favorite to wear but its also really on trend ATM so why not just take full advantage of it!? Its been scorching hot here for the past few days so all I’m thinking about right now is my summer wardrobe, I’m placing my order for these adorable soft shorts as we speak!
I’ve got a ton of errands to run today and on top of that Peter and I have a wedding to go to on Friday but neither of us have anything to wear, so I’ve got make a stop at the mall to pick us up some new things. Wish me luck!
Sorry for the delay on this post, I’m not sure if it was a glitch in the system or what, but WordPress wasn’t letting me upload any pictures to this post until right now! Crazy, but I’m glad it’s all figured out. For today’s post I’m trying out the whole ‘statement sleeve’ trend that’s insanely popular these days, and showing off a few more of my Express purchases from their big sale over the weekend.
I snagged this cute little crop sweater and long dainty necklace for 40% off, and I am so happy with them! The sweater is the perfect weight to transition into my summer wardrobe, I can just picture myself wearing it all summer with high waisted shorts and a cute felt hat! I love that the bell sleeve dresses the sweater up so you don’t need too many other accessories paired with it. OH and before I forget, this necklace was marked down to $10 and then 40% off, so I ended up paying $6 for it….which was a deal of the century considering how simple it is. Its the perfect layering piece over a plain tee and jeans, and even pairs well with shorter necklaces, like how I layered it in this post.
