Hurray it’s Friday!!

I’m so excited because it’s actually been warm enough to bust out the summer clothes these past few days. So obviously I had to wear my favourite top that I mentioned in my ‘Affordable Spring Clothing Haul‘ post. I love the off the shoulder detail, it makes this top so different from anything that I own! It was scorching hot here yesterday so this top was the perfect one to reach for since its very light and airy, nothing sticks to you, its not tight, and you don’t even have to wear a bra with it. All of that = the perfect summer top!

I know I’m carrying two different bags in some of these pictures, but I wanted to show you guys how cute this little Banana Republic pouch is! If you don’t carry around much, or want a vacation friendly look, the pouch on its own is perfect! I like a bigger bag myself so I bought it to keep my lipsticks and liners organized in my bigger bags. The colours and floral pattern were just too cute not to buy!

Its the long weekend here in Canada and Peter is away for a bachelor party until Monday, so all the girls and I are having a girls weekend! I’m off to run a few errands before the fun begins!

Wishing everyone a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by ❤

Happy Wednesday Friends,

I hope everyone is having a good week so far! Todays outfit is a little date night outfit I put together(or could be festival attire if you swap the jeans for black shorts!). I actually bought this top from Forever21 last summer with a matching skirt, but never got around to wearing them..haha oops! So I thought I would break the top out for this summer since this type of neckline on any shirt is super flattering. I wanted the stripes on the shirt to be the focus so I kept the rest of the outfit pretty neutral.

If you guys follow me on Instagram you may have recognized this choker because I posted the same one just in a different colour a couple days ago. I got them on major sale so I had to buy multiple. They’re great because you can wear them three different ways! The strand with the bow and tassels isn’t attached to the part with all the suede strands, so you can wear each piece separate or wear them all together, like I did here.

FYI: I’m going to be doing some major website maintenance in the next week, so if things look a little weird/different just bare with me! Thanks in advance ❤

See you in Fridays post! 🙂

My Ultimate Summer Bucket List For 2017!

IMG_8692

Happy Monday guys!

Last week I spent a day with my sister Jess, and my bestie Rebecca (you may recognize the name from our BFF Tag) hiking and exploring local conservation areas, and we got to talking about fun things we want to do this summer and it inspired me to sit down and start my list. I  always enjoy reading other people’s ‘bucket list’ posts so I thought I would share it with all of you, and challenge you to start writing down the things you want to do this summer! Wether it be activities or even goals you want to accomplish, I find when you write them down your more likely to do them.

Is there anything I’m missing!? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Fleurs De Villes Event Recap + A Cute Mothers Day Idea!

IMG_8610

Hurray it’s Friday!

I hope everyone had a good week, mine was very productive which is always a good feeling going into the weekend! I mentioned in Wednesday’s post that I attended the VIP Fleurs De Villes event at Mapleview Centre on Tuesday night and had an amazing time, so today I’m giving you guys a little preview of what I got to see, and also sharing a really cute mothers day idea for anyone in the GTA(Greater Toronto Area).

A little background of what Fleurs De Villes is: Fleurs De Villes creates bespoke flower events across Canada and right now they are stopped in Burlington, Ontario to showcase amazing local talent. They have rounded up Burlington’s most creative florists to create stunning outfits made solely of flowers. Because they showcase local talent from each city they stop in, the gallery of floral mannequins is always changing, making for a fresh event in each new city!

Each mannequin is inspired by something – a clothing designer, an event or even a cause, the mannequin above was inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness. This one was one of my favorites, the attention to detail is amazing, and the back was just as gorgeous!

IMG_8592IMG_8594

There are 15 mannequins to see at the event but I don’t want to give away what all of them look like because you should go check them out for yourself! If your not in the GTA but your in Canada, look out for an upcoming Fleus De Villes event near you.

The cutest mothers day excursion you can do with your mom tomorrow… Most moms like flowers right? Well the Fleurs De Villes event is opening up a popup flower market in Mapleview Center tomorrow, Saturday May 13th from 10-5. So take your moms through a tour of the mannequins, (starting at the Shoppers Drug Mart entrance of the mall) snap pictures, read about the inspiration behind each one, and make sure you vote for your favorite one, there’s an exclusive prize up for grabs!! And once you’ve done all that, make your way up to the flower market (2nd floor, in front of the elevator) and treat her to the flowers of her choice. It makes for a easy way to show your mom how much you care, and its fun for the both of you! 🙂

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there, I hope you get spoiled by your family this weekend ❤

Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Todays outfit is one that I wore to a local event last night for Fluers De Villes at Mapleview, I’m going to recap the event for you in Fridays blog post so I don’t want to spill too many details. If you guys have me on instagram you have probably already seen a few behind the scenes snaps I added to my story last night 😉 It was a truly stunning event.

Anyways, I picked up this little blouse last week and fell in love with it instantly, its very feminine, and super flattering…especially through the waist! The slight peplum detailing has just the right amount of volume without being over the top, the look is very stream lined and flirty. Banana also came out with a matching ‘soft short’ (the ones I mentioned in my April favs post) which would look so cute paired together for a Sunday brunch or baby shower.

Also, high five to anyone who noticed that my hair is different in today’s post! I finally changed it up and I’m sort of loving it, so you”ll probably be seeing more of it this summer ❤

Thanks for stopping by, and I’ll see you Friday 🙂

Good Morning Everyone!

The new summer collections are rolling out in stores lately, which has me glued to my inbox for ‘new arrival’ e-mails from my favorite brands. Today I thought I would share some of the items I have on my wishlist! As you can easily tell, the theme is blush pinks and golds – with a pop of blue. I’ve really been making a conscious effort to stay away from more blue clothing, since that’s all I’ve been buying this spring…and I’m sure you guys are going to get tired of seeing me wearing it soon lol! I’d say I’m doing a pretty good job by distracting myself with pinks in the mean time.

Today is my first official day of full time blogger status, and I’m on my way to the hair salon and nail salon, to start this journey off right! The rain here has finally cleared up (it lasted a solid week!) so I’m excited to finally get out of the house and do some running around. On a side note; does anyone watch Carli Bybel’s YouTube channel? She’s a makeup guru who just came out with a gorgeous new limited edition eye-shadow and highlighter pallet. I pre-ordered one a month ago and finally received it in the mail on Friday, it looks amazing! I was thinking about doing a review or tutorial with it…would you guys be interested in seeing something like that? let me know!

April Favorites!

False Lashes / Rose Mask / MAC Lipstick / Keyboard CaseWaikiki Candle / Roses / OTS Top / Crossbody Bag / Soft Shorts

Kiss Lashes – in style ‘Shy’

I don’t wear false lashes daily but I am one to break them out for a special occasion or a photo shoot. I love the way they add definition to my eyes without having to fuss with liquid eyeliner or layers and layers of mascara. This brand/style in particular feels super light weight and flexible on my lash line (no stiffness here!) and looks whispy and natural once applied, they are perfect!

The Body Shop – Rose face mask

This mask is my newest obsession, I have been applying it almost nightly before bed. You can actually see the rose petals in the mask which is really cool and it has skin plumping properties that make your skin soft, smooth and energized.

How I’ve been using it:

  • About an hour before bed I’ll wash my makeup off and apply this mask to my clean damp skin
  • After about 30 minutes I’ll take a clean face cloth and wet it with warm/hot water, and then slowly wipe the mask off my face
  • Once my mask has been removed I splash my face with cold water (to close the pores) and then tone and moisturize my face as usual before bed

Then I wake up looking and feeling super refreshed. I’ve been getting a lot of compliments on my skin since I added this into my routine!

MAC Lipstick – in shade ‘Please Me’

I’m sure you guys have noticed by now that I’ve been wearing this shade in almost every outfit post for the month of April…Ooops! I bought it recently and quickly found out it’s the perfect everyday pinky/rose shade.

Ipad Pro Keyboard Case

You. Guys. If you have an IPad Pro this keyboard case is a game changer, it literally turns your IPad into a mini computer! First of all its super affordable, very high quality for the price and it soooo cute! They have every shade of case to match every colour so you can get one that matches (No black Apple keyboards for us!) I have gotten soooo many questions/compliments on this thing. I’m actually using it right now, as I write this post from a hockey arena (Peter’s playing!). It makes working on the go so much easier – and lighter. No more carriying my heavy laptop around to do work while I’m out, having a mini IPad laptop is honestly so perfect!

Bath & Body Works Candle – in scent ‘Waikiki Beach Coconut’

The definition of summer in candle form…not even exadurating, you have to smell it for yourself! I have the candle on my bed side table and I haven’t even lit it yet but it still smells up my room just enough.

Yellow Roses

Who doesn’t love roses? I feel like I’m always obsessed with roses but now that its warmer out I’m loving yellow roses, they brighten up my room and stay looking fresh for much longer then my old go-to, tulips.

 Off The Shoulder Tops

My Fashion picks should come as no surprise since they are things I’ve been wearing non-stop on the blog this past month. Off the shoulder tops are all I’m buying right now, I actually have a problem haha! I just love how flattering they are and how they look good on every body type. It’s a very feminine meets sexy kind of look, I love it.

Crossbody Bags

Now that I’m not lugging around a hat, scarf and mitts, I’m loving my cross body bags again. They’re the perfect size to carry the essentials while I’m out and about. Runnning errands or shopping trips arnt as fun when I’m carrying around a heavy tote bag.

Banana Republic Soft Shorts

Okay I don’t think ‘soft shorts’ is the official name for these shorts, but I call them that because they’re super comfortable and soft. I buy this style of shorts every year from BR because they can be easily dressed up, but also cuffed at the seam and worn casual to a BBQ. It’s the most versatile short I own, hands down!

Thanks for much for reading guys!

Sunday it my last day as a full time employee and I’m just itching to get it over with so I can start turning this blog into what I dream for it to be. Thank you so much (again) for all your support. See you in Mondays post ❤
