Good morning guys, I’m here today with a “transitioning into fall” outfit idea! As soon as August rolls around I always find myself getting excited for everything fall, and this year is no exception. I can hardly wait for pumpkin spice tea, and changing leaves, but until then I’m going to bask in all the transitional outfits I can. I love this one because the colours just scream fall, but the silhouette of the outfit still looks light and airy (not bulky) for summer. A great way to start transitioning into fall is to add in those burnt oranges, cognacs, olive greens and tan shades to give your summer look an autumnal feel. One of my other favourite ways to transition my outfits is to pair ankle booties and a longer cardigan with my shorts and tank tops!

I hope your guys are as excited for fall as I am because I can’t hold it in anymore haha! I’m linking my outfit details in the widget below as well as some cute transitioning pieces.

Good morning everyone!

Okay so this past weekend was a dream, the weather felt like fall and I could not get enough of it (insert dancing hands emoji). I was originally going to wear this tank with a little skirt but it was super windy so I opted for jeans…and I know what your thinking…white jeans again!? I can’t stop wearing them, they go with everything! I found this cute ruffle tank at H&M a few weeks back and loved the mauve colour with the ruffled details, and it came in a few other colours too!

On another note, Peter and I are headed back up north today for a week long trip this time! Im praying for nice weather while we’re there because lately they’ve been having a lot of bad storms, tornados even, ripping through the area. So fingers crossed we see none of that and only sun for the next 7 days 🙂

Do you guys have any exciting plans coming up!? Let me know in the comments.

Happy August guys!

Peter and I are home from our little vacation and back on the work grind this morning. I planned for this post to go up on Monday but I wasn’t able to find any Wifi where we stayed, I even went into town to see if I could find any coffee shops or restaurants with Wifi but no such luck! We ended up in a very small cottage country town, with not much around besides a Home Hardware (that served ice cream!) and a Chip Wagon on the side of the road.

So today is the day I get to share this cute wrap top from Banana Republic that I picked up a couple weeks ago! I wore it to grab ice cream in “town” on Sunday afternoon and it was perfect. The weather was hot and windy so I’m glad I opted for a light weight sleeveless top, I also bought it in another pattern as well that I’ll be putting up on the blog soon. I love that they’re so easy to dress up or down, throw a blazer over it and wear with dress pants to an office, or pair with jeans like I did here for a lunch date or trip to the mall!

Good morning!

I’m writing you guys from my bed this morning since Peter and I stayed up super late last night shopping and packing for our camping trip this Friday. I’m extra tired right now but I’m trying to snap myself out of it because I have a lot on my to-do list today!

Anyways, I recently found this adorable floral dress and thought it would be perfect for summer events, birthdays, baby showers, that kind of thing, so I grabbed it as soon as a saw it in stores. Except I loved it so much I wanted to wear it now, so I dressed it down with a jean jacket and booties to show the versatility. I’m really loving booties this year, as long as they are a light coloured suede (or faux suede) you can definitly get away with them in the summer. They always give me a bit of that country feel when paired with a dress, I love it!
